Cultural appropriation can take place on purpose and without purpose. It is said to occur intentionally when someone from a dominant group dresses up and uses other adornments as someone from a minority group without caring whether or not what they are dressing is appropriate and acceptable based on that minority group's culture or ritual. This disrespectful and neglectful act can be seen as offensive and insulting to the native people. However, some people from a dominant group do not mean to offend or insult the culture of disadvantaged groups at all. Instead, they really want to promote the cultural differences each group of people brings. To embrace cultural differences and make cultural appropriation appropriate and acceptable, the way how a certain custom and adornment is worn or used needs to follow the way the host of those things is carried out.
